ARTICLE SNIPPET - Executive Summary
User Task Depth is one of fourteen website design guidelines identified by the Mequoda Group as being essential to sound, effective website design. We identified these website design guidelines by reviewing hundreds of websites and interviewing dozens of website publishers.
We have found that there are typically four to five common tasks users will want to complete at a website. Does the website encourage you to take the next step, such as request more information or make a purchase? Sites that allow users to complete all tasks score high in this category.
This chapter is part of a handbook titled Membership Website Publishing.
