ARTICLE SNIPPET - Executive Summary
Persistent Navigation is one of fourteen website design guidelines identified by the Mequoda Group as being essential to sound, effective website design. We identified these website design guidelines by reviewing hundreds of websites and interviewing dozens of website publishers.
Users of your site should be crystal clear about where they are in your site, where they can go and how they can get back to somewhere they've been. Websites that do an excellent job of letting users fulfill their goals will score well in this category.
This chapter is part of a handbook titled Membership Website Publishing.
