ARTICLE SNIPPET - Executive Summary
Content Freshness is one of fourteen website design guidelines identified by the Mequoda Group as being essential to sound, effective website design. We identified these website design guidelines by reviewing hundreds of websites and interviewing dozens of website publishers.
Website credibility plummets if the home page promotes an event that occurred two months ago. Research has shown that websites with a high update frequency generate more repeat visits per month per unique user. The more frequently websites get updated, the higher they score in this category.
This chapter is part of a handbook titled Membership Website Publishing.
